Kashmir University academic calendar for Pg batch 2024-2026

In accordance with Notification No: F (Academic Calendar) DAA/KU/2024, dated 09-09-2024, the following outlines the academic calendar for the postgraduate batch of 2024-26. This calendar serves as a guide for students regarding important academic activities throughout their tenure.

PG 1st Semester

  • Academic Registration (Opting of Core/DCES/OE-GE Courses): 09-09-2024 to 11-09-2024 (3 days)
  • Commencement of Class-work: 12-09-2024 to 31-12-2024 (16 weeks)
  • Submission of Examination Forms for End Semester: 02-12-2024 to 05-12-2024 (4 days)
  • Winter Vacations: 01-01-2025 to 28-02-2025 (2 months)
  • End Semester Examination for all courses: 03-03-2025 to 22-03-2025 (20 days)

PG 2nd Semester

  • Academic Registration (Opting of Core/DCES/OE-GE Courses): 24-03-2025 to 26-03-2025 (3 days)
  • Commencement of Class-work: 27-03-2025 to 16-07-2025 (16 weeks)
  • Submission of Examination Forms for End Semester: 20-06-2025 to 24-06-2025 (5 days)
  • Summer Vacations: 17-07-2025 to 26-07-2025 (10 days)
  • End Semester Examination for all courses: 28-07-2025 to 19-08-2025 (22 days)

PG 3rd Semester

  • Academic Registration (Opting of Core/DCEs/OE-GE Courses): 20-08-2025 to 21-08-2025 (2 days)
  • Commencement of Class-work: 22-08-2025 to 11-12-2025 (16 weeks)
  • Submission of Examination Forms for End Semester: 17-11-2025 to 21-11-2025 (5 days)
  • Examination Preparation Days for End Semester: 12-12-2025 to 15-12-2025 (4 days)
  • End Semester Examination for all courses: 16-12-2025 to 31-12-2025 (16 days)
  • Winter Vacations: 01-01-2026 to 28-02-2026 (2 months)

PG 4th Semester

  • Academic Registration (Opting of Core/DCES/OE-GE Courses): 02-03-2026 (1 day)
  • Commencement of Class-work: 03-03-2026 to 22-06-2026 (16 weeks)
  • Submission of Examination Forms for End Semester: 25-05-2026 to 29-05-2026 (5 days)
  • Examination Preparation Days for End Semester: 23-06-2026 to 25-06-2026 (3 days)
  • End Semester Examination for all courses: 26-06-2026 to 17-07-2026 (22 days)

Important Note:

Each department is required to conduct induction sessions within the first ten days of September 2024. These sessions aim to orient new postgraduate students regarding departmental objectives, program structure, academic registration procedures, and support services available, including counseling, scholarships, and health services.
