The University of Kashmir has officially announced the admission process for its Two-Year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Programme for the academic session 2024-26. This program is open to eligible candidates from both Kashmir and Ladakh, aimed at fostering quality education and training future educators.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree:
- Minimum 50% marks for General Category.
- Minimum 45% marks for Reserved Category.
- Acceptable degrees include:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Sciences, Social Sciences, or Humanities.
- Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics (minimum 55% marks).
- Graduate Teachers: Candidates under the 10+2+2 scheme with at least two years of teaching experience in recognized schools are also eligible.

To apply for the B.Ed. Programme, candidates should follow these steps:
- Visit the Official Website: Access Kashmir University or Kashmir University (alternative).
- Registration:
- Click on the link for the B.Ed. Application Form.
- Register as a student by creating a username and password.
- Log In: After registration, log into the system using your credentials.
- Fill Out the Application Form: Enter all required details and upload a recent passport-sized photograph.
- Upload Documents:
- Original marks certificates from all years of graduation.
- Postgraduate marks certificates (if applicable).
- Valid category certificate (if applicable).
- Application Fee: Pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 750/- through online mode.
- Review and Submit: Ensure all information is correct before submitting the application. Print a copy for future reference.
Additional Information
- Candidates should check their application status three days after submission. If acceptance is not confirmed, they should contact the concerned J&K Bank branch or the Dean College Development Council office immediately.
- Incomplete applications will not be processed.
- Admission under reserved categories is contingent upon verification of certificates.
- The admission process will adhere to NCTE guidelines.
